Surforce Technology Group has announced a major breakthrough in functional nanofiber nonwoven materials. The company’s new technology has reached internationally advanced standards, offering new solutions for textiles, filtration, energy, and electronics industries.
The new development is called “Low‑Carbon Industrialized Complete Technology for Functional Nanofiber Nonwovens”. It uses an industrial process called electrospinning, which produces high-performance nanofibers on a large scale. This breakthrough also focuses on being environmentally friendly, using fluorine-free materials and reducing carbon emissions.
Surforce has already built China’s first ten‑million-meter scale nanofiber production facility, capable of producing 20–30 million meters of nanofiber materials every year. This makes the technology suitable for mass production and global supply chains.
The new nanofiber materials have unique properties, such as a very large surface area, strong mechanical strength, and flexibility. These features make them useful in many areas:
Textiles: for breathable, flexible, and comfortable clothing
Filtration: for air and water filters with better efficiency
Energy: as separators in batteries
Electronics: in devices requiring lightweight and high-performance materials
These materials are expected to replace some traditional membranes like PTFE, while being cost-effective and eco-friendly.
The company has received national and industry recognition for its innovation. Surforce holds 25 patents worldwide and has obtained certifications like ISO 9001, OEKO-TEX, and GRS. The company also works with global partners to expand applications in textiles and technical industries.
A senior executive from Surforce stated that the company plans to continue research and development to make high-performance nanofiber materials more widely available, helping customers achieve both efficiency and sustainability.
This breakthrough marks a significant step forward in nonwoven technology, combining advanced materials with environmentally friendly production, and opening new opportunities for industries worldwide.
